The organizers of the 13th World Conference on Tobacco or Health (WCTOH) are pleased to offer a Fellows Program. The goal of the program is to enhance capacity and strengthen networks in tobacco control among rising practitioners and emerging leaders in low-and middle-income countries.

The objectives of the 13th WCTOH Global Tobacco Fellows program are to:
  • strengthen global leadership and increase the number of organizations and individuals engaged in the fight against tobacco

  • exchange successful ideas and strategies to create social, political, and economic change to reduce tobacco use and exposure world-wide

  • expand and strengthen the understanding and application of tobacco control policy changes

  • create on-going networks and establish new networks for global tobacco control
The 13th WCTOH Global Fellows Program consists of:
  • 2.5 day pre-conference training (July 9 – 11, 2006)

  • Participation in the WCTOH (July 12 – 15, 2006)

  • Opportunity to apply for seed grants following the WCTOH

  • Economy round trip air travel from country of residence to Washington, DC, accommodation and meals in Washington, DC during the pre-conference training and WCTOH, WCTOH registration fee, and ground transportation.
